SAFARI is for you! Enter the 'jungles' of Northumberland and shoot images that are on the leading edge of your photographic ability. Take control of your skill development and practice those techniques in unique locations in the county! Accompany old friends and make new ones as you ask questions and become the photographer you have always wanted to be.

John and Janet Foster are television producers, cinematographers, and still photographers specializing in natural science television programs, and nature photography. Their documentary specials arc produced for public and private television networks and broadcast around the world.
Janet was born in 0tttawa. She trained as a ballet dancer in Canada on England, and danced professionally with the National Ballet Company of Canada for several years. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto and York University and with a PhD in Canadian history. Her doctoral thesis. Working for Wildlife, told the story of the beginnings of wildlife preservation in Canada and was published by the University of Toronto Press as a hard cover book. While studying for her doctoral degree she began her career as television producer, writer, and host in the field of natural science and nature. She has written books for both adults and children. In 2004 she received York University's Lifetime Achievement Award.
John was born in England and raised on farms in both England and Canada. He is a graduate of the Ontario Agricultural College at Guelph, and began his broadcasting career as a writer and commentator for CFTO·TV in Toronto. In 1962 he joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and become host and writer for the series
Country Calendar, This land of Ours, and This land.
John and Janet Foster have spent more than thirty-five years shooting and producing special documentaries about Canada's wilderness regions. In the 1970s they directed and hosted 23 one hour nature documentaries for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. In 1986 they formed their own production company, and continued working as a two person team shooting and producing natural science programs for TVOntario, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), Channel Four (Britain), and the Discovery Channel. More recently Discovering Wild Canada, was a nine part series of their Canadian wilderness programs that ran on CBC Newsworld 2005 · 2009.
John and Janet are also professional still photographers specializing in landscape and nature photography. They live on an old farm in eastern Ontario.
